We normally have one or two of the popular second hand Yamaha pianos available, – particularly the Yamaha U1 and U3 uprights.
A lot of piano shops across the country have been selling these in recent years, and in general they are very good instruments but there is quite a lot of variation in tone quality and feel. You may have seen all sorts of conflicting information on the web about this type of piano – such as which serial numbers are good or not so good – but there’s really no alternative to seeing and trying some for yourself.
Their popularity means that there are now fewer U1 and U3 available, and the price of these has been increasing.
Other variants such as U10, U300 etc are available which can also be very good instruments, but it is also worth considering other, new, alternatives (see below).
We aim to keep some carefully chosen Yamahas in stock when possible, which you would be welcome to come and play & hear. Please contact us for an appointment.
