Broadwood straight-strung grand

This was an old and very tired, but much loved Broadwood belonging to a client of ours. The strings were rusty and brittle, and many had been replaced over the years. The action was very worn, noisy and out of adjustment.

We replaced all the strings, re-covered the hammers and dampers and replaced many other parts. Although these Broadwoods from this era have a distinctly "historic" feel and sound and are not to everyone's taste, this is now a very playable piano again.
